Moving image and performance documentation form an essential pillar of Haralampi G. Oroschakoff’s conceptual vocabulary. Beginning in Vienna in the late 1970s, his cinematic projects emerged from cross-disciplinary experiments that fused drawing, staging, narrative photo-novels, and durational actions.
Developed in close collaboration with actors, filmmakers, and collaborators, most notably Robert Hunger-Bühler, Karl Welunschek, Paul Jenewein, and Michael Epstein—these works explore themes of alienation, geopolitical rupture, historical memory, and the tension between institutional containment and total artistic freedom. From early video actions recorded at the Konzerthaus Wien to festival screenings, Oroschakoff’s moving image practice challenges conventional cinematic narrative, treating the recorded frame as an extension of the Gesamtkunstwerk.

Already in the title of this video installation, the metaphysical conception resounds, as a realisation that all artistic production conditions nothing other than a continuous registration of reciprocal world views. The "double cross" as a spiritual-cultural sign of the "other Europe in the East" belongs to the space as a broken mirror, filling it with emotion as a body of sound. The field of ears opposite, the wheat in its moving yellow splendour, has meant a basic nutrient for body and soul since the beginning of time in harmony with the cultivated nature.
